Metal and Glass Casting Residency Opportunity

We are delighted to offer a new residency opportunity:

Metal and Glass Casting Residency

3 October – 25 November 2011

North Lands Creative Glass and Scottish Sculpture Workshop are working in partnership to offer an eight week residency for four visual artists with a high level of experience in casting processes.

We are looking for two sculptors and two glass artists who have an interest in exploring new forms of making through collaboration.

The residency will offer the opportunity to create work and collaborate with artists while also learning new techniques in casting. Two artists will be selected by North Lands Creative Glass and two by Scottish Sculpture Workshop, with the residency time split between the two venues. This opportunity will allow you to enhance your own practice while working within a peer group to gain further skills. Both venues enable artists-in-residence to benefit from a comprehensive range of facilities. Artists will receive a stipend of £600 and a materials allowance of up to £800.

This opportunity is open to artists from the UK and Europe.

Applications must be received by 22 August

Successful artists will be notified by 31 August
