Artist in Residence – John Clark

Farewell to John Clark our latest Artist in Residence who has just left us after 3 weeks in the Studio. It was great to meet John and hear him talk with such enthusiasm about his work and how much he valued the chance to experiment over the residency. He made some beautiful pieces during his stay and we’ll be keen to see how the work progresses.

We’ll be seeing John again in the future…watch this space

Being a sculptor who does public art in stone metal and wood – can I take part in your glass artist in Res. program? As far as I understand one visual artist (a sculptor like myself) would work with four glass workers to come up with some new kind of glass pieces – is that correct? are the four glass workers also choosen residence or do they work in the studio full time.
    It sounds very interesting.

    • Hi, thanks for your comment. The residency you mention is currently running so i’m afraid you’ve missed that. We run mixed media partnership residencies every autumn/winter, and glass techniques classes through the year so you might find something else that would suit you. You can check up to date information and sign up to our newsletter on our website http://www.northlandsglass.com/
      hope that helps
